Specialist doctors

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ljubljana. He has been employed at the ORL Department of the Celje General Hospital. He has completed his specialty in 2016. His primary field of expertise is ear surgery and plastic reconstructive facial surgery. 
He performs both outpatient and surgical work in all major areas of otorhinolaryngology. He regularly participates in workshops abroad, thus expanding his range of expertise and skills in the field of otorhinolaryngology. He is the external collaborator of the Medical Center Rogaška.

In 2003, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana, and in 2009 he obtained a Master's degree after his completed research in the field of nose injuries. Since 2010, when he completed a specialist exam with honours, he has been employed at the Department for Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery at the Celje General Hospital as a specialist in otolaryngology. He deals with facial and neck surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, and especially with surgical treatment of breathing disorders during sleep in the last few years. In 2020, he graduated with a doctoral thesis from the field of obstructive sleep disorders from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. He regularly attends numerous educational seminars in Slovenia and abroad. He cooperates with the Rogaška Medical Centre as an external collaborator.

He graduated with honours in 2015 from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana. He completed his specialisation in orthopaedic surgery in 2022 at the Valdoltra Orthopaedic Hospital. After completing his specialisation, he joined the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Injuries at Celje General Hospital. He attended postgraduate education in England, the United States, Austria, Portugal and Greece. He was a scholarship holder of the Slovenian Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons on a professional exchange in Estonia in 2019. 

He regularly attends professional meetings at home and abroad to keep up to date with the latest treatment techniques. He is a national representative of FORTE (Federation of Orthopaedic and Trauma Trainees in Europe) and a member of the European Federation of Orthopaedic Surgeons (EFORT). Besides general orthopaedics, he specialises in injuries and changes in wear and tear of the knee and hip joints, and foot surgery. He uses the most modern forms of surgical and non-surgical treatment. 

Nataša Mihaljčišin, MSc, MD, specialist in neurology, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Banja Luka, passed her professional examination in medicine in 1990 in Zagreb and her specialist examination in 1997 in Belgrade. She passed her sub-specialist examination in neurophysiology in 1998 and obtained her master’s degree in medicine in 2004. She is employed in the Celje General Hospital and is an external collaborator at the Rogaška Medical Centre.

Prim. dr. sc. Tanja Škorić Polovina, MD, is a specialist in internal medicine, a subspecialist in endocrinology and diabetes, and a doctor of science. She has been working at the Institute of Endocrinology at the Clinical Hospital Centre in Zagreb since 2001. In her everyday work, she diagnoses and treats patients with thyroid diseases, diabetes and osteoporosis. She also deals with diseases of the pituitary gland and adrenal glands. She performs thyroid and neck ultrasound with cytological puncture, and in the last few years she has been running a thyroid ultrasound course at the Clinical Hospital Centre in Zagreb. She is an author of numerous scientific articles, published in indexed journals. She is also a member of the European Society of Endocrinology and the Croatian Society of Endocrinology and Diabetology.

Specialist in internal medicine and subspecialist in angiology. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 2002 and passed the specialist exam in internal medicine with distinction in 2011. During her specialisation, she completed elective postgraduate training in angiology at the University of Milan and the practical part of her training at the AKH Vienna, Europe's largest general hospital. She passed the final examination in angiology in 2012 at the University of Milan and obtained the Europea Master of Angiology/Vascular Medicine title. In the same year, she passed the subspecialty examination in angiology of the European Union of Medical Specialists (CESMA-UEMS) and became a specialist in angiology and vascular medicine.  

She worked at Celje General Hospital from 2002 to 2023, where she was involved in the establishment of the Centre for Vascular Diseases, and for 2 years she was also the professional head of the internal medicine section of the Celje Urgent Care Centre. 

She regularly acquires her knowledge at national and international congresses in angiology, has completed a course in ultrasound diagnostics of vascular diseases at KBC Rebro in Zagreb, and regularly participates in international workshops in ultrasound diagnostics. 

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 2007, and completed his specialist examination in general surgery in 2014. His fields of expertise are general and abdominal surgery, oncological surgery, herniology and proctology. He regularly attends numerous educational seminars in Slovenia and abroad. He is an external collaborator at the Rogaška Medical Centre.

Employed at the Medical Centre Rogaška. She graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry in Belgrade in 2006, and the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana attested her diploma in 2013. In addition to her work, she undergoes further professional training in Slovenia and abroad, especially in the field of endodontics.

Assis. Žiga Kovačič, MD, is a specialist in maxillofacial surgery at the University Medical Centre in Ljubljana. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana in 2008 and completed his specialisation in maxillofacial surgery in 2017. During his specialisation, he also studied abroad with the world-renowned Professor Yu Ray Chan. He is also an assistant professor at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. He is active in the Slovenian Association for Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery – ZMOKS and in the committees of the Medical Chamber of Slovenia.
