Who is FMS recommended for?
In urinary and faecal incontinence problems
In weak pelvic floor muscles
In persons with acute musculoskeletal and myofascial pain
In men after prostate surgery and erectile dysfunction
In women after certain gynaecological operations and after childbirth
As rehabilitation after injury (healing broken bones, etc.)
We do not recommend FMS therapy to persons:
Who are pregnant, have cardiac arrhythmias and pacemakers, epilepsy, malignant tumours or early-stage cancers (oncology patients), metal implants (metal dental appliances, joint replacements, certain types of pelvic insoles), hearing aids, for the first 12 weeks after surgery.
Before FMS therapy, you should schedule an appointment for the MMD physiotherapy service (20 minutes) or the MMD physiotherapy service (80 minutes), where an individualised treatment programme will be developed.
We recommend 10 treatments for milder problems and 16–20 treatments for more severe problems.
