Schedule appointmentSurgical treatment of venous insufficiency is carried out from September to May; it is not carried out in the summer months due to warmer temperatures outside. Surgeries are performed as an outpatient under local anaesthesia; you can leave after the procedure, but you are not allowed to drive a car. If you have a journey of more than an hour, you are advised to take a 5-minute walk every hour.
Bring compression stockings to the procedure and you will need to use them for six weeks after the procedure.
