Ultrasound of arteries of lower limbs
Ultrasound is used to detect narrowing and blockages in the arteries of the lower limbs.
Ultrasound is used to detect narrowing and blockages in the arteries of the lower limbs.
The examination is painless, safe and without side effects.
The examination is performed with the patient lying on the back, or on the stomach if necessary. You take off your shoes and trousers, skirt and socks before the examination.
We examine all the arteries in both lower limbs, checking for any narrowing or blockages, and checking the success of interventions (surgery, intravascular interventions).
An ultrasound examination of the lower limbs’ arteries takes 5–15 minutes, depending on the extent of the disease.
No special preparation is needed; we recommend wearing shorts (briefs) only for feeling more comfortable.
